Four years ago, you trusted me to lead Maurice through the biggest growth in our town’s history. Together we’ve brought in new business, made our streets safer, earned an ‘A’ for our water, and planned for what’s next. I’d be honored to keep putting Maurice first.”

Mayor Neil Arsement

Promises Made. Promises Kept.

KEPT OUR GROWTH UNDER CONTROL

Updated town ordinances to manage new subdivisions, created a master plan for our park, and launched a new town website with online bill pay.

DELIVERED 'A'-RATED WATER

A 94/100 “A” grade for water quality from the Louisiana Department of Health.

MADE MAURICE SAFER

Body cameras and a department chaplain for our PD, Operation Safe Streets, a paid weekday firefighter, and a Class 4 fire rating held with a 50-point score improvement.

BROUGHT NEW BUSINESS TO MAURICE

A full Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram dealership, NuNu’s Fresh Market grocery, Mrs. Lee’s Kitchen, Frozen Sun, and Bloom & Grow — jobs, tax revenue, and reasons to keep our dollars local.

About Neil Arsement

Neil Arsement has served as Mayor of Maurice since 2022, leading the town through the most significant period of growth in its history. A successful business owner and reserve officer, Neil brought private-sector discipline to Town Hall — managing rapid expansion while keeping Maurice fiscally responsible and true to its small-town character.

Under his leadership, Maurice has welcomed major new businesses, modernized its police department, strengthened fire protection, earned an “A” grade for water quality, and transformed its town park into a year-round community space. Neil is the co-owner of Dumpster Pro and the owner and founder of Superior Surface Wash, G & H Construction, GDA Properties, and G & H Farms — experience that shapes his practical, results-driven approach to governing.

A family man who puts family first, Neil believes a strong family is the foundation of a strong community. He’s running for reelection to finish the work Maurice started: dedicated funding to fix our roads, competitive pay to keep our police officers, and a continued push to clean up blighted properties — all while protecting the values that make Maurice home.
